Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new. - 2 Corinthians 5:17

A miracle happens when a person repents of their sin and places their faith in Jesus Christ. That person is “born again,” not physically but spiritually. They have been forgiven by God and given the ability to obey Him from their hearts. Spiritual life takes place daily, within our normal everyday actions. Sometimes mistakes are made and sometimes achievements are accomplish. However, all aspect of our lives are a testimony of God’s grace and should bring glory to Him. Living for God is a lifelong journey instead of a status achieved.

Our Savior

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them…. for He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. -  2 Corinthians 5:18-21

Jesus is the long promised Messiah. Mankind is in need of a Messiah because all of us have sin. Sin, which is the breaking of God’s law, must be punished by God. But God in His mercy came to earth and was born a man in order to give His life to pay the penalty for sin. He laid down His righteous life in order to rescue mankind from their punishment in hell. Jesus freely gives His righteousness and everlasting life to all who willingly come to Him in faith. Jesus is willing to pardon our sin if we allow Him.

Our Ministry

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. - 2 Corinthians 5:20

As followers of Jesus Christ we have a service to perform. We are to do our best to represent Jesus to our world through our lives, like an ambassador for His kingdom. Our most important message is to share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. We are to warn the people around us of God’s impending judgement and to encourage them to repent so they too can be reconciled with the God who created them.
